Oh jesus,

Election prospects feel bleak. After weeks of daily discussion and debate about the parties, their leaders and the potential outcomes of different percentages, i am beginning to despair at the quite realistic prospect of a Conservative government. Despite now being substantially politically educated, it seems i am leaning towards that 'disillusionment' with British politics that so many young people complain of today.

However, there remains a ray of hope in terms of the Brighton Pavilion constituency which looks likely to elect the first Green MP ever, Caroline Lucas. She took part in a debate with the other candidates at my college and was the only person who stayed on afterwards to visit lessons and take student questions. We love you Caroline!
